I really liked the art and the animations are really well done. This is key to a good bossfight where as if you can't tell what attacks the boss will do, it can lead to a frustrating experience which isn't the case here; the attack telegraphings are really good and gives you time to react. I really liked the music and the sound effects are great as well. The controls are simple, yet the deceleration time make it tricky to get yourself to be close enought to the boss to be able to attack it without getting hit. Simple to understand, a bit harder to master. The option of easy/hard mode makes it enjoyable for more peoples and it fells great when you beat both difficulties. The only think I would maybe complain about is that when the boss goes off screen, it may be hard to tell if he's still coming back rolling, or if he's gonna jump at you. Here again, we have time to react so it's not that much of an issue. Pretty good game in my opinion, I would've loved a longer gameplay, but I understand this is only a 72h jam and I think that's really good for the time given. Well done !

Glad to know that the experience matched our design intentions, you're describing exactly the design considerations we took into account when designing the game. I agree that the boss going offscreen is a problem; the issue is the fact that if the boss stopped or slowed down at the edge of the screen instead, that could catch the player off guard and could cause a somewhat unfair death via contact damage. We're not fully sure what the solution is yet. We're planning on creating more boss battles in the future, so stay tuned for more content!

Haha, it's definitely tricky! Getting used to controlling the character takes some time. The controls being quite slippery was an intentional part of the game to make the player character feel more like a clumsy, excitable puppy, but it does create a serious difficulty hurdle for less experienced gamers.
Beat the hard difficulty, simple and fun. The hit-boxes are a little bit weird, can be more forgiving to the player. Also a feedback for the attack will make it more satisfying

Really like the Art style. Beat the hard mode after a few tries, but the rolling skill of the boss is a little bit fast and hard to evade. Nice job!

The concept is funny, we played with my son who is a hardcore gamer and he won it in both modes.
I'm a more casual gamer and couln't beat the easy mode xD
